The tsunami in Thailand

August 2010 |||| In 2004 I was on Phi Phi Island, Thailand when the island was washed away by a tidalwave caused by an underwater earthquake north of Sumatra, Indonesia. Around 4000 people lost their lives on the island, this is my story.

 

The Ireland Project

May 2010 |||| A place on Mars was to be named after an island in Ireland and I was going to part of this project taking photos. For ten days I was with The League of Imaginary Scientists, friends from Los Angeles.

I meet the devil himself

November 2007 |||| 10.000 dollars is a lot of money and there were no way I could pay that. With out a blink of an eye Mr. Foyt said that he was going to impound Solitude until I had paid the fine.

 

Last months in Caribbean

May 2007 |||| The sail back to Curacao was the best sail I had so far, the wind was perfect, very little waves and two happy not seasick friends.

 

Crossing of a sea

April 2007 |||| With an instant they were 1 mile away and we went back to our course to Curacao still with no wind.

 

Looking back...

April 2007 |||| We were just sailing and the world could have exploded with out us knowing. When we finally arrived in Puerto Plata I didn’t even feel like going on the internet.

 

British Virgin Islands

March 2007 |||| After 3 days of rolling back and forth in Roadtown, Tortola I had enough and sailed 6 miles south to Deadmans Bay by Peter Island.

 

Cruising through the islands

February 2007 |||| The Flemming Channel was in sight in the morning and for the next 5 hours we cruised on the most beautiful turquoise water, all we had to watch out for was coralheads and the depth sounder.

 

Getting ready for adventure

December 2006 |||| In the search of a sailboat, my dream for the past five years, I made around 100 phone calls and spend hours talking to people with boats, we drove over 1000 miles to look for different sailboat.

December 2006 |||| At the moment I'm interested in around 10 sailboats all with inboard motor and around 40 feet in length. 6 of these 10 I really like but it's very difficult.

 

Chile, South America
